MY STORY

Well before I ever purchased my first digital camera, I had an underlying sensation that I was destined to have some creativity in my life. The start of my creative journey was a travel expedition from Perth in my late 20’s to discover the world and find my dreams.  For 3 months I traversed  throughout SE Asia, eventually landing me in London in 1999. Of course I had to take a good camera with me and I purchased my first DSLR Nikon D70 before departure.

After returning from London back to Perth in 2001, I relocated to Melbourne and was based there for 10 years where I was very fortunate to really develop my photography skills. Soon after arriving, I was accepted to study in a Diploma of Photography at the well renowned arts campus at Collingwood TAFE.  Through my studies and passion for photography, I was afforded various opportunities in Melbourne and really found my creative inspiration. Some highlights include being the dedicated Earthdance Festival Photographer from 2003 to 2008 in Federation Square, a work experience stint at The Herald Sun in their photography department, and obtaining a media pass to cover track & field at the Melbourne Commonwealth Games in 2006, as well as various other opportunities within the fashion, events and music industries.

A key highlight in my career, was travelling to Antarctica in 2006, after meeting and working with a reputable wildlife photographer Fiona Hall in Scotland in 2001, whom had endured Multiple Sclerosis for most of her life. We somehow pulled together an enormous undertaking with a fundraiser for MS, with the support of so many sponsors including Aurora Expeditions, AMP Australia, Nikon Australia, Hewlett Packard & Kathmandu, to name a few. On return from Antarctica, we held an exhibition at Federation Square in Melbourne in 2007, where we raised in the realm of $10,000.

I have undertaken work for key clients, some of which include Federation Square, Nikon Australia, Rainbow Serpent Festival, Melbourne Fashion Festival, WA Maritime Museum and WA Museum Boola Bardip.

Born and bred in Western Australia, I always knew I had to return to the Golden State that has always held my heart and soul. To expand my photographic love, I invested in a drone in 2017, and I have never looked back.

It gives me a greater capacity to develop my love of creating inspiring imagery, to showcase from an aerial perspective the beauty of the most amazing state in Australia.

I hope you enjoy my visual journey.
